Breaking Down Stigma on Men's Sexual Health Post-Addiction.

Rebecca Bowden, Urology nurse and clinical lead at LifePlus Clinics Liverpool, recently paid a visit to the residents of Damian John Kelly House, Vitality Homes in Liverpool to talk openly about men's sexual health post addiction. The aim of the visit was to break down the stigma surrounding men's health and encourage wellness and prevention of sexual health problems, such as erectile dysfunction (ED), Peyronie’s disease and chronic pelvic pain or prostatitis.

Damian John Kelly House is a rehabilitation centre that offers support to men recovering from addiction. The centre is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals who are overcoming substance abuse and is known for its excellent rehabilitation services.

Our visit to the centre was an effort to raise awareness about the importance of men's health post addiction. Many men who have struggled with addiction face challenges when it comes to sexual health, including ED. The stigma surrounding sexual health issues can prevent men from seeking the help they need, and this can have a significant impact on their overall well-being.

During our visit, our spoke openly with the residents about the importance of taking care of their sexual health and seeking help if they are experiencing any issues. She also provided information about the various treatment options available for ED and other sexual health problems.

The visit was well-received by the residents of Damian John Kelly House, who appreciated the opportunity to talk openly about a subject that is often considered taboo. Many of the residents expressed their gratitude to Rebecca for her efforts to break down the stigma surrounding men's sexual health and for providing them with the information they need to take control of their sexual health and well-being.

Our visit to Damian John Kelly House Vitality homes is an important step in addressing the challenges faced by men post addiction. By breaking down the stigma surrounding sexual health issues, men are more likely to seek the help they need and take steps towards prevention and wellness. The work of organisations like LifePlus Clinics Liverpool and ED Clinics is crucial in promoting men's health and wellbeing and ensuring that individuals have access to the resources and support they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

We would like to thank Jacquie, PJ, Tommy and all the residents for making us feel so welcome.
