Wrinkle Relaxing Treatments
As we age, there is an increased breakdown of collagen and elastin which are both responsible for the skin’s ability to ping back in place. Due to genetics, poor lifestyles choices and even sleep position fine lines, wrinkles and folds can become more pronounced, which varies from each individual. Wrinkles are unfortunately an unavoidable process of ageing.
Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox™, Xeomin™, Azzalure™, Vistabel™, Dysport™) inactivates the muscles preventing them from forming the lines and allowing your skin to recover so over time the wrinkles fade or disappear altogether.
What is it?
Botulinum Toxin Type A is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium. It has been in use since 1978 to treat many medical conditions e.g. eye squints, muscle spasms, Parkinson’s and more. This is a cosmetic treatment it is non-surgical treatment that can temporarily reduce lines.
What areas can be treated?
The most frequently treated areas are frown lines, the forehead and around the eyes or crow’s feet although other areas of the face are often treated with Botulinum Toxin.
Dermal fillers are commonly used as part of a anti-wrinkle solution. During the ageing process, your skin loses elasticity and volume. Dermal fillers replace that lost volume, which can also create a ‘lifting’ effect providing a smoother, more youthful and natural look.
Lip fillers are used when a fuller lip is desired, either because of naturally thin lips or the ageing process, as we age our lips also lose volume and appear thinner. Lip fillers are the perfect way to add extra volume and plumpness to lips which may lack in shape or fullness.
Treatment Times & Prices
